For 2019 the Scottish Start of the Rallye Monte Carlo Historique & Classique will return to Clydebank, on the site of the world famous John Brown's shipyard, birthplace of many of the worlds most famous ships. The Scottish Start will once again offer competitors the best experience of all the Start Towns with a warm welcome, Scottish hospitality and the noisiest and liveliest send off as the cars leave the Start Ramp. The first car will leave the Start Ramp at 6.00pm on Wednesday 30 January 2019 to the cheers of thousands of spectators.

 A list of cars eligible to enter can be found in the regulations at Appendix V. Cars which competed in the Monte Carlo Rallyes between 1955 and 1980 will be considered. Decisions regarding the eligibility of cars is taken by the organizing club, the Automobile Club de Monaco, however the earlier the vehicle and more unusual are likely to be looked on more favourably. The Rallye is always over-subscribed, however competitors choosing the Glasgow (Paisley Abbey) Start are likely to be accepted.
