The Rallye Monte Carlo Classique was for special interest road legal cars built from 1911 to 1986. In this even there was an overall time schedule with controls, but no time penalties. The challenge of this event was to check in at all the controls and to reach the Finish in Monaco. It followed most of the route of the Historique but arrived in Monaco ahead of the Rallye. It was a challenging event in an old car, particularly if the weather was snowy. Some crews have found it to be a good ‘stepping stone’ to the Historique.
Participants in the 2026 event will depart John o Groats along side the Historique cars on 29 January and after following primarily the same route across France to Monaco will finish off with a black tie dinner at ACM HQ on the evening of 4 February some 3 days ahead of the Historique crews.
Applications are now open for Entry to this event, numbers will be limited after which a waiting list will be created.
